The provisions of marriages and family relations in the Philippines is embodied in Executive Order. 209 known as The Family Code of the Philippines. The City/Municipal local civil registrar office is government agency that is involved in the process of getting married in the Philippines. The City or Municipal civil local registrar issues marriage licenses, and the National Static Office (NSO) is responsible for authentication records of marriages after the issuance of Marriage Certificate by the city or municipal registrar
